Slow page loads and Posts

The vBulletin search is a huge CPU drain. Since you're already using vBSEO to allow the pages to be easily indexed by search engines, why not add a Google search to the site instead of using the built-in search? Burn through Google's CPU time instead of yours.

Another option I'm looking at too.

Generally, the pages show up pretty fast on Google, however, I don't allow the search engines to index the Lavatory.

A little faster today? I did some behind the scenes tweaks this morning.

The forums have been loading fast for me since I logged on at around 4 PM EST today, about two to three seconds.

Dough, just wondering. Did you remove the "Who's in the Forum"/"Who's in the Thread" indicators for page load speed concerns?

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. Sometimes it only shows the number of people viewing a specific forum.

It was a little slower yesterday, anywhere from six to fifteen seconds. It was from around 6 PM EST to 11 PM EST.

2nd night in a row now that around 21:05 EST I got this for about 3 minutes. :(

The time when you experienced the error. Sometimes there's a number of "tasks" running on the server and if it's bogged down performing those tasks and it coincides with a traffic spike, it might reject some connections.

If it haappened, say 2115 Eastern, then I could look at the task logs.

I have poor reading comprehension! ;(

It's not a comprehension problem, it's because you try to cover too much ground in a limited amount of time. You're a skimmer. Hmmm...and you're bleck. I'll be danged, you're a blimmer!!!

:bandit:

(BTW, trying to further develop that skill myownself. Skimming, I mean, not being bleck. :D )

You're right! Cut to tha bone, Steve-o, straight to the bone! :)

(I AM a notorious skimmer)

8:57 PM Sat Eastern time. Taking about 2 minutes to open a thread and make this post. Been seeing slower times at the top of the hours.

General Forum navigation has been fine, but I've been getting page load hang-ups when trying to reply to a topic and when posting that reply.

Don't know if it'll help, but here's a trace I ran on forums.jetcareers.com at around 16:36 Eastern down here in FL.
