Sleeping/Overnighting in Airports

Spent lots of nights at LGA, JFK & ORD. Though these nights were while I was at Eagle & AA, so I had access to the crew lounges. The crew lounges weren't any cleaner or nicer than the terminal, and there was still the small chance of theft of your stuff. The roaches & mice were usually the worst of what one would encounter.

I would sleep on a couple chairs pushed together. My overcoat was my blanket and my uniform jacket rolled up was my pillow. I actually used to think about how fortunate I was, during those nights I spent like that. I was [reasonably] safe, I was inside and not out exposed to the rain/storms/heat/cold... I had it a lot better than a lot of people out on the streets of NY those nights.

I slept in my car at the airport for about 3 hours last week. Got back from a trip at about 1:30 in the morning and my commute home left at 6:15am. I don't think I've ever slept in the airport though. There have been two times I slept on the plane during an overnight though. Once on a high speed with only 4 hours between the inbound and the outbound and once when PHL shut down due to ice and none of the cabs were running and the crewroom and terminal were already full of crazy people.

Went on an AirNet fam flight with Adam from KIXD to KMDW... Slept for about 2-3 hours in the sleep room... Woke up without my jeans on and didn't know where I was... That's not a very comforting feeling! Lol.

Come again....? I mean freight dogs are a little bit of a different breed, but seriously! LOL
