Dang! That's crazy! Hopefully this bizarre situation does not spur the "authorities" to come up with some knee jerk measures that will further restrict activities around airports and flying in the name of "more security."

Because media frenzy + any airplane incident + public paranoia = ZOMG TEH PLANES ARE GOING TO KILL EVERYONE!!What does that have to do with this incident? This was a parked RON aircraft, with no crew on board at a small outstation (at a fairly new airport, at that). He was presumably an employee with ramp access, or there is a gaping security hole on the airport surface. However, I have been to the small non-towered airports that receive EAS service that only have a red line marking where the SIDA is vs. the rest of the airport.
