SkyWest, or...

I wouldn't say that discontent is brewing, so much as the company is changing to be leaner, meaner, get #@$^ done machine, which has rocked the boat for a lot of guys. There are a lot of problems, notably with those areas you mentioned, but all in all, it's not a bad place to end up. If you want MSP, it'll be great. You'll get that out of class and your seniority should skyrocket. Oh, and I've noticed that the junior bases have the best crews, so have fun while you're there :)
It is, in this respect, no different from any other regional airline.

You can tell a lot about a company riding with crews in the hotel van, hanging at the bar and jump seating.
The SkyWest crews I've encountered seem pretty happy though generally aloof.

They had a little over 50 new hires in the class that started last week, even if they only manage to attract half that, the training department is so tapped out that we are going to have a constant stream of new people for at least the remainder of the year, in my opinion.

If you want MSP you'll get it, you most likely won't have to sit reserve(last bid had more lines than people bidding) and, like mentioned, your in base seniority will move the fastest, I've been in MSP for less than a year and I'm already bidding about 50% in base.

I'm usually in the process of finding peace on the van ride, which is why I'm not normally talkative. ;)
