SKywest inviting for group interviews.

My dream is me and 3 cheerleaders but that doesn't pay well, so I guess I should get back into flying.

Mav, do you got multi time? Dude if you got the times go for it man! Finally, the pilot is taking over. You need to kick Mesa to the curb.

Mesa certainly leaves you sore in some areas! I can definitely say that!

I went to the group interview at Skywest in Salt Lake on Jan 3.

I came back on Jan 18 for the 8 hour endurance interview.

I was hired for Feb 12.

One of the guys that didn't make it in my group flew for either Mesa, or somebody else, and couldn't pass their 70 question written test (50 ATP questions, right out of the Gleim book, and 20 mechanical aptitude questions).

Another guy failed the simulator. I recommend lots of practice in the ATC-810 or Frasca 142 (the less stable of the two) sim, even if you think you're hot sh*t behind the yoke.

Go to the group interview. If they like you they will schedule the full interview in SLC at that time. Some guys and gals did get turned away at the PHX group interview because of not meeting mins., and then some more people got turned away at the short face to face they have and didn't get an SLC interview.

Mesa's chief pilot was sitting in the lobby of the hotel writing down names of MAG pilots attending the group interview. (They had the group interview right across the street from the crystal palace)

Interview: Don't rely to heavily on online gouge. Don't give canned answers. DO get some Frasca 142 and/or ATC 810 time. Approaches with random holds. In my interview there was a Republic CRJ captain that failed the sim and went home. Everyone else was hired into the Feb. 12 class.

Why on earth would he go to Skywest to start over again? Especially with all the growth that is about to happen over there. Did he have someone kick him in the crotch before he walked in the door?

Like, really? No BS?

If so . . . wow.

QOL.

Guy lives in SoCal and is tired of commuting to PHL. From talking with him his wife and kids are factoring into this big time and he has to get something western US

*And my bad, after I read that I realized he was/is with Air Wisconson...

Yup, no BS. There was probably a dozen guys/gals there that fly for Mesa and they were all talking about it.

Oh man...if working for Mesa isn't bad enough, what about being on the company's s%$t list...that has to suck. I hope they all get hired!

Ahh, that I could see. Their three bases are kinda tough being so close and on one side of the country. Alot of guys left AWAC after the DEN move and the return of the 146s.
