I tipped you guys off several months ago that this was coming, mostly because I had inside information. These Part 135 ops are saving many EAS markets. One of my EAS clients was one of the SkyWest markets they dropped last year. We were able to get Contour to come in and fly it instead. Our client was lucky - a lot of EAS markets are seeing RJ service replaced by Southern Airways Express Caravan service, and they're not happy about it.
It may grow beyond EAS, but the numbers make it tricky. I've recently seen a quote for a minimum revenue guarantee (what airports communities pay to make up the difference if the airline doesn't hit their targets) for a one hour stage, and it's quite expensive on 30 seats - even with the FNG FOs.
If you talk to Contour, though, they'll tell you that pairing experienced CAs with inexperienced FOs works really well for them.
