Did anyone go today? What was said and what are the issues? The captain I'm flying with is kinda curious.
 
I'm guessing...that SKYW will become unionized. If managment wanted to merge the pilot groups SKYW being non union would be an issue.Because ASA pilots wouldn't drop ALPA.So if SKYW becomes an ALPA carrier a merger would be all that much easier...just my crystal ball!
 
Sorry Max, you know I luv ya like the sister I never had, but I kind of wanted to hear from someone with a little insight on what's going on there in the E terminal! ;)

With much speculation about the threatened Delta pilot strike, Corporate Communications would like to take the opportunity to remind our great employees of company policy concerning interaction with the news media.

Standard Practice 58 states, "Company policy provides that all SkyWest contact with media representatives must be made through Corporate Communications. SkyWest personnel are required to refer all media to corporate communications. Individual responses to media without authorization are prohibited.

"When approached by the media in the course of normal business operations, front-line personnel should direct reporters to www.skywest.com and/or Corporate Communications at 435.634.3000." In light of this policy, we want to emphasize that employees are subject to discipline if found speculating through any media outlet as a SkyWest employee. This includes, but is not limited to, third-party internet sites, television, radio and newspaper.
