I think it depends on what the NTSB finds as the cause. Running off the end of the runway is the most common accident for jets.
 
No injuries and no damage. My guess is a slap on the wrist in the form of some mandatory time off, a line check and back to work you go.

Why waste $40,000+ of training on the crew, they're not gonna do it again.

Well I as either a passenger or as pilot/flight attendant I wouldn't have flown on that plane. Why because it is still in UA's old livery. I would only want to fly in a plane sporting UA's current livery and as a pax I would request to have the equipment subsituted. And I would most certainly ask..for a window seat!

...and if you dont get a window seat I'm sure there's someone willing to swtich with you as long as you tell them your a PILOT!
