Well be open Friday but not Thursday. Our hours are 8-6. send me PM with the details of your arrival.

God, that reminds me of my favorite lines from instructing:

"Hey, are you flying Christmas day? 'Cause I'm off, and..."
"Uh, no."
"Oh, ok. Well, how about New Years Day, around 7:00am?"
"No."

It never failed. Every holiday, someone would ask.

"Really I like to sleep at 7 a.m cuz its FREAKIN 7 A.M DUDE!!"

or... "Hey FNG you need a new student?"

John, what have you been up to since NetJC and what are your plans? Are you going to visit GKY anytime soon?

Hells yea, for some reason I find students fly best after lunch I think their more awake and alert. Oh and the hangover has disapated by then.

Heck yeah students are more alert after lunch, they've fixed at least one Travel Air by then. They need to be looking out for it. I've already told my students if they schedule me around Xmas, it's getting cancelled. I'm going HOME for a few days then. Now, they're more than welcome to go up to the airport and wait for me to show up, but they might be there a while.

As far as Thanksgiving, well, I didn't get my days off scheduled fast enough. Who'da thunk I'd actually be booked 3-4 weeks in advance. So, yeah, I'll be around day before and day after Thanksgiving.

You should call them and ask them are they freaking kidding. I already told my students that I will have Thanksgiving and a few guys for a for X-mas and New Years off. They better not even ask.

well, we made it to DFW last night. i'll be at skymates bright and early at 0800 tomorrow - look forward to meeting some of you ladies and gentlemen.

happy thanksgiving!

i doubt i'll be there at noon, i have to be at DFW to catch a flight back to denver at 1:15 or something. i'm going to try to come back in about 2 weeks to take care some business and i'd like to stop by the school again then.

holy cow, i'm impressed, folks. i talked with leanne for a good half hour or so and she took me on an impromptu tour of the facilities. i know where i am coming to get my MEI and i can only hope that it isn't long before i can start teaching for you guys down there.

i am going to be back in fort worth week after next, probably on the tuesday and wednesday of the week, and i'm planning on stopping by again. i hope this is a more convenient time to meet some of the JCers at the school.

:yeahthat:
I never get tired of stories like this. Everyone wonders "Shesh, it's not a huge aviation academy, can it possibly be as good?" and when they get done seeing the place and meeting the people they're saying "Holy crap, what a neat place, good facialities, wonderful people, blah, blah, blah."
Luca has the formula figured out exactly: 1.Give people what you advertise, for the price you say. 2.Treat them like guests in your home. 3.Have fun.
The formula works and always will. Too bad the other schools seem to think that lying about cost or total hours, nickel-and-diming the students into the poor house, and treating customers like employees is the way to financial sucess, but I do believe the word is finally getting around.
Best of luck to you Roundout!
