Anyone have time in these? It's an Italian-made high wing pusher-prop Rotax-powered light sport aircraft.
If the weather is good I'll be taking one on a ferry flight next week, following I-80 from Nebraska to California. Trying to learn as much as I can in advance.
How do they perform at high altitudes? I see the service ceiling is published at 13,500, which seems a bit low for crossing the Rockies using the I-80 route. But the takeoff rolls/climb rates look good, so I think as long as I don't have to deal with any gnarly turbulence, I will be fine.
Also, how do they handle in crosswinds? Any quirks to be aware of?
Finally, how is the cockpit ventilation? The canopy looks like a hat and large water supply will be in order, similar to glider flying.
Thanks in advance!
