Nope. I think its the tail section that kills it for me and those thin ass engines. Im sure it was an awesome airplane to fly and Id probably fly the chit out of one but it just looks ugly to me.

I think I might be the only who finds the 727 hideous looking. Im one of those who sees one and thinks "Man, what an old ass, ugly POS" :ducks for cover:

You're not the only one. Never understood the fetishization of that thing.

Rode on a few when I was kid. Wasn't a fan then either.

Me three. I don't dislike it, but it never did anything for me.

I fly a jet, but wish I still flew a turboprop.*

*Except on hot days where I am glad I have an APU.
Luckily I wont have many hot days. Just some really cold days where I wish I had an APU. I look forward to going from -40 in Mcgrath to 40 in Dutch Harbor.

I look forward to flying a jet someday. But damn turboprops are fun.

It's not a race. I like jets...they go real fast and most of my problems have to do with "will there be a phone call to the Boss?" rather than "will there be a phone call to the NTSB?" And that's very nice in my doddering old age. But make hay while the sun shines, cause the Stories you get now are going to have to sustain you through decades of "the catering was late, OMG OMG". Make sure they're Good Stories.

Very true. Even moving into the SAAB from the CASA and 207 is a huge step towards those problems you have now.

I think the only symptom of any type of SJS that I get is watching the F-15s,16s,18s and Raptors blasting off out of Nellis and on occasion, a B-52 or B-2. As for a civilian aircraft, the 757 still does it for me and I wish Id have an opportunity to see DC-8s but unfortunately they are very few and far between. I don't think I've seen one live since IAD in the 1980s and early 90s. Other than that, an airliner is an airliner today. Some big, some small.

Dude, tprops are amazing. I get weird vectors/bad descents and say 'man, I miss throwing* the condition levers forward and dropping the gear!'

*I never flew the 'Bro.
