Six-Month Recurrent Sim

I have a 6-month ride coming up.
What software do you use at home to prepare for recurrent sim?

Looking at purchasing:
Flight Sim X Gold Edition with Saitek Yoke with Throttle Quadrant and Rudder Pedals

or

Microsoft Flight Simulator X Gold Edition with USB Yoke & Rudder Pedals

.......Really?

Just in case you're serious:
Study limitations and profiles. And in your specific case: buy the more expensive one and pray.

Yeah still nothing.........

I'm a Captain (note the capital "C") for a virtual airline utilizing the virtual 767; I don't always use a yoke and throttle quadrant with my Flight Sim X, but when I do, I choose the Saitek.

The only way it will help is if you build a flight deck out of cardboard around your yoke and pedals. You can draw the instruments with crayola but if you want to get fancy, you can get a blown up cockpit photo and cut and paste. You can even use plexiglass and make your windows so you dont get any bugs in your teeth.

If you want to get crazy, build your flight deck on a big round pivot and have some friends roll you around while flying so you get the motion.

Do all that, practice, practice and practice some more and you might have a fat man's chance in skinny jeans to pass your 6 month check.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...that has to be the funniest troll I've seen in a while! :) had me rolling :)

Get out your CFM and study. Study. Study. Limitations, memory items, profiles, maneuvers, abnormal and emergency procedures. Brush up on systems.

But but dudeeee, L REV UNLOCK is not a fail option on FSX

There are a few things you can do with MSFS if you have the time and money :)
