My guess is convection induced although FA’s radar depiction isn’t always accurate.

I think it is important to ensure people are wearing their seatbelts when seated. At the same time, there are definitely some flight crews that leave the seatbelt sign on for an entire flight and I think they’re doing everyone a disservice by making the sign mean nothing. People are going to have to get up at some point, so use your brain and try to get the sign off when appropriate, otherwise it means nothing.

I feel like storms are way bigger and way more frequent than they used to be. Most summers I feel like I’m being chased around Asia by typhoons.

On our scopes we have precipitation broken down to 6 different levels. Normally you’d see level 6 fairly rarely, and then only as a few square miles inside a bigger cell. These past two summers there have been entire fronts where the entire thing is level 6. One of them dumped 5” of rain in an hour at my house.

Lotta pics here, including a bloodied FA

Like I said for DM, I’m there for the pics and videos. :)

Translated as I'm just there for the drama...
