Silver load factor...

How often does Silver fly around empty? lol

I'm over here on E in Atlanta waiting to head outta this city for a while, and I just observed an empty Silver 340 park which got me thinking. And, of course...as I'm writing this - here comes the next crew. Easy money for the FAs I suppose.

Maybe it was a repo?

I work up in E/F Tower at ATL. I can tell you that those Silver 340's rarely come in with more than 5-6 people. Every now and then there will be a 20+ load but not often.

Depends on the route. PIB, MEI, TUP... no. GLH and MSL... depends. There are times we will leave GLH empty and yet pick up 10-15 in TUP.

Problem is the lack of marketing in these locations. There are people who fly regularly that don't even know Silver flies out of some of these cities.

It could have also been a repo. Maybe not from any particular city, but we keep our spare at Landmark, so occasionally the crew will need to go over and swap airplanes.

What does it take to get a "tour" of the ramp tower? Some days we have long airport appreciation sits and it would be nice to break the monotony.

That's how it is in CLE, too. Most people don't even know they fly out of those EAS B1900 airports (PKB, DUJ, etc...) I don't fly in in the bahamas, but how are those routes?

Don't know about the Bahamas. Haven't been out to the islands on a regular basis since last August.

DPApilot would have a better idea.

As far as the Bahamas flights go, I see tons of people getting off the Saabs every time they offload over at the customs area here in FLL.

Not much. We always have people coming up to the ramp tower on E, even pilots from time to time. I've got escort privileges, and if you already have an ATL SIDA then even easier. F "Tower" is more of an overlook of ramp 9, not much to see lol.

Good to know.

We don't have ATL SIDA badges as we are not based in ATL, but next time I go through ATL with a long sit, I'll see if you are working.

ctab where you based out of Majestic Greenville, or where gambling games go to die Tupelo?

The nasty, vile, corrupt, yet majestic GLH. But I get to see TUP every single time I go to work. With our schedules, you can't get to ATL without stopping in TUP.

You should bid GLH :)

I'm going to come pay you a visit in a couple months when I'm in Airbus school.

Through flights are cool. I hate going to SFO/LAX every other leg.

Got to do RDD-ACV last night because San Francisco is the worst airport ever built.

Everything out of Florida was pretty damn full for the most part. The only really empty flights I saw were the 6:30 am TPA-PNS runs. Maybe 6-15 people on those.
