Got my new Luggageworks Aurora today. Pretty nice bag... feel like I need an engineering degree to figure out what all the pockets are for ! haha

in seriousness though - what do ya'll pack out for a 4 day (that will probably end up being 6 days...) I was hoping to hang my back pack off the J hook and put gym clothes in the back pack but the backpack may be a little long.

do all the LW have the internal panels/pockets/compartments ? might trade mine in for a simpler model lol !

1 set of uniform shirt, undershirt, underwear, socks for each day.
1 set of exercise clothes and running shoes.
1 set of civilian clothes if going out.
Toiletries, medications just in case (tylenol, cough drops, etc), phone charger, gum, and I think that's about it for the layover bag.
The laptop bag (flight kit) has the electronic goodies.

and that's why I asked here instead of Angry Pilot Central :p:eek::cool:

for the record its a plain black pack I got in the military...

Just don't wear the backpack. Backpack in a suit is tacky, whatever the job. On an overnight/ at the crashpad etc hard to beat the utility of a backpack for groceries etc.

... don't forget a sewing kit with black thread for the pants and white for the shirt.

I had an FO that packed a PS4, but I can't say I recommend it.

White undershirt for each day, socks for each day, pair of regular shoes, pair of workout shoes (most trips) and gym shorts/old sweaty t shirt, laptop, extra tie (I'm a messy eater), pair of jeans and a regular shirt, or at least a hoodie and just throw it on over a white undershirt if it's going to be kind of brisk. Ends up being kind of a full bag and people always ask if I'm carrying bricks, but it works. Roll all the clothes instead of fold and it's pretty easy to get everything to fit neatly, just kind of a pain to repack it every night if you fish out your workout/going out clothes. Shave kit with all the toiletries in it.

My last trip I had 2 to 3 week rotations and I used to pack a decent amount of clothes for that time period, tide pods, a disassembled doorway pull up bar for hotels with crappy gyms, and an Xbox, all into a 22' Luggage Works. Kinda stupid looking back, but hey, the company paid for 1 checked bag.

For a rotation that long you need some extra goodies for sure. I've heard multiple stories of guys packing folding bikes along with them. Also saw a guy in full uniform carrying his surfboard into LAX. So you're probably more normal than you think :)

standard 4 day:

-jean shorts
-tuxedo t-shirt
-assorted sex toys
-bike helmet (can be considered sex toy)
-poker set
-at least half a dozen coupons for Fuddruckers
-shinguards (if going to Jacksonville)
-DVD box set "Clarissa Explains it All"

that all changes if it's a 5 day....you're welcome

You'll learn pretty quick what to pack. When I first started I packed like I was going on vacation. Next trip after, just the basics. One extra work shirt, socks, etc. But some folks I know, especially former military, can pack a small suitcase like they are going away for a month.
