shoulder replacement and first class medicals

Greetings,

I am looking for info on how likely will I be to be able to get back my first class medical after having traditional shoulder replacement. I know most of it will be determined by the results of my PT. But assuming that PT goes very well, could I still be denied? Could it be a weight lifting limitation? if yes, what lbs threshold would be the limiting factor?

Hard to find info on such a narrow topic.

It really depends, go for your medical, and see. If it somehow debilitates your ability to fly an aircraft you may fail, but, if you show you have a full, and efficient ability to fly an aircraft with no problem regarding your shoulder, you should be fine.
 
If a guy with a missing arm can get a first class medical, and you get denied, we have serious problems with medical certification.
 
I know a guy got at least a second class with two hooks after losing his arms below the elbow. He was a crop duster.
