should i go for the job of my dreams ?

hello everybody


i have always dreamed of becoming an airline pilot few days ago i decided that it's about time i go for it i have family in canada and USA and they said they will help go to any good school in there
so i started reading articles about it pilot career... some of them says thats it's the best time to start and some says that alot of pilots out there cant find a job i really dont know what to believe or what to do and im so sad about it .
i want to make this big step but im afraid at the end it will for nothing and then i ll have to find an other job and all that time and money will be a waste
would some body please help me i am really lost here.

A lot of the advice you've gotten on the other website is strong advice. Start there and continue to ask questions as you progress.
 
You're asking such a broad question...pilots can't find jobs where and what year were these articles posted? Where it stands right now, regionals are hiring practically anyone that has the qualified ratings and minimum hours.

Besides getting into that, you need to look at the overall cost of training, consider going to school, and etc. If you do an ATP style training you'll cut down your time but you're still looking at a 2+ year path until you will be able to get hired and the airline industry is extremely volatile. The jobs are out there though, that's for sure. I'd try asking some specific questions that you have in regards to the research you're doing. You need to really look into the cost of this because just deciding you wanted to become an airline pilot a week ago will not be enough motivation for the hours and money you're going to put forth to get there.

First, do research on a school to receive training and consider school if that's an option for you, then start asking questions from there. I'm assuming that's what was meant above.
 
Don't even get started in this failed career. Go get a job that pays and can't be outsourced to the next cheapest • down the road.

I am totally agree with tcco94. First you should find some aviation college/school to pursuing the aviation degree or flight training and then go for the job.
 
I guess the first question is, do you have a degree?

If yes, then go anywhere you want. If not, you might want to concentrate on schools where you can get both the degree and training.
