Sheffield ADX IOS app.

Hey guys,

One more question about the ADX exam. Has anyone ever used the Sheffied iOS app to prepare for the exam? It is 40 bucks, which I don't have a problem spending if it is a quality, bug-free app. I think that it is relatively new (this is the first version). I just like the idea of having resources on my phone/ipod so that I can study whenever I have a little down time. Thanks!
 
I'm currently using it. Overall I have to say it's a pretty nice app. Great for on the go studying. The different modes are helpful too. Quiz mode for memorization, study mode for explanations, and the ADX exam part. It's worth the money IMHO. The only problem I have, is that it crashes every now and then. Never during an exam though, so I don't lose my work. I'm taking the ADX on Friday , so I can report back and see if it really helped or not.
 
Thanks! I think I am gonna go for it! I am looking for on-the-go studying when I don't have access to my laptop. Does the app use the 600 question bank that sheffield typically uses?

Yes I'm pretty sure it uses the same bank, and then some. Some sections have "commonly used questions on the ADX" while others do not. I just went to each section and worked on ALL the questions.

I really like the convenience factor. I study during my downtime at work and it's pretty easy to get a practice exam in each day since you don't have to flip through a booklet to get to each diagram. Especially on the aircraft performance questions. So I can typically get through one in 45min, not including when I have to stop and do work. Before I started using the app, I was getting 60-65% on practice exams. Now I'm up to 90-95%. Hopefully it translates to the real test haha
 
The app came out after I left the school, I used two of apps - the one by ASA and dauntless.

I also think Sheppard has a app but if not, they have a software download and talking to others, it is the best- they guarantee that you will pass with a 85% or you money back.

Will do! I'm in the middle of an all day cram session today. I'll be relieved once it's all over. I've been scoring in the mid 90's on simulated exams, so hopefully it carries over the the actual one. If it does, then I'll be recommending this app to others.

I passed! There were only a handful of questions that I had never seen before. 90% of my studying was via the app, but I did use the Gleim ATP study guide too. I can say the Sheffield App sped up the process as in just two weeks I went from barely passing the practice exams, to passing all of them well above 70%.
