I got a text from a friend that they closed and sure enough the website is down. Anyone heard anything? Regardless, judging by what I've heard recently, it sounds like they've had it comin.

I did my CFI there about 3 years ago and supposedly they have (or had) a pretty decent CFI gig. All of the instructors I had seemed to like it there.

AS PROMISED, I SUED SHEBLE IN AUGUST AND WON A REPAYMENT OF 4K. SADLY IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE $$$, IT WAS ABOUT NOT GETTING RAPED. (BEEN IN THE BUSINESS TOO LONG FOR THAT)

SEEMS THE YOUNGEST SHEBLE WAS KILLED 2009 IN A FIRERY CRASH AND VAL SHEBLE IS BEING SUED FOR SEXUAL HARASSMENT FROM A FEMALE CLIENT. WHAT THE %#@! ?

Really hope you're not violating the terms of your settlement by posting about it here.

Are they still in business? I did some of my training with them many years ago, they were very good back then looks like things have changed...

Sure looks closed down. I did my commercial checkride there after the 172RG i was training in geared up by another student. The instructor I had was pretty good, and he cleaned up my maneuvers with just a simple explanation and demonstration. For me it was worth it. If you were looking for a buttoned up, airline culture type of a place Sheble was not for you. I wanted to be a bush pilot at the time, and their rag tag culture fit me nicely. Some say rag tag = unsafe, but I never got that feeling. I used to be an A&P working on beat up aircraft, and knew that a bird might look tired, but under the hood/access panels they where just fine.

Some folks I knew that went there said that those airplanes weren't even fine under the access panels.

One was told "if you want to fly today don't sump the tanks."
