I watched it happen, and a friend of mine happened to be working the feeder position for the 28s at NorCal. Non-issue except for a pilot deviation being issued, there was no other traffic and the airplane was a few miles out, I'm surprised they didn't just sidestep honestly. More surprised that this is in the news and half the crap I see isn't.
But then again, sea lions can be pretty intimidating when 200lbs of arf comes barreling towards you.
