I've got some toughies for you guys. Has anyone here flown VFR in the grand canyon?
SFAR 50-2: Special Flight Rules in the Vicinity of the Grand Canyon National Park, AZ.
1) Do you have to have written authorization from the FSDO to fly in the SFR area? Rref. Section 3 (b) and the "or" at the end of (e).
2) The altitudes listen in Section 3 (a) and Section 5 are different, yet they pertain to the same areas. Which is correct?
3) Section 9 says that Sections 1, 4, and 5 expire on 4/19/2001. If they did expire, what replaced them, and why the heck are they still in the 2008 regs?
And on an unrelated note, anybody know where I could find a copy of FAA Order 7400.9P?
