Series Differences

To all that it applies to (if this thread has already been started, please direct me to the thread. Thanks.), what are some differences noted in performance within the different series of aircrafts? For example, performance differences between the 737-700/800/900(ER), 757-200/300, 767-200/300(ER)/400ER, 777-200/300(ER) and etc? For those who take the time to answer, I thank you in advance.

Just click on each Boeing type and variant. You can cut and paste the performance info of each variant of a type onto Microsoft word for example and have have a comparison chart for each variant under that type.

I.E.

Boeing 777-200

Typical cruising speed 905km/h (490kt).
777-200 - Range 229 tonne MTOW 7000km (3780nm), 233 tonne MTOW 7778km (4200nm), 247 tonne MTOW range 9537km (5150nm).
777-200ER - 263 tonne MTOW range 11,037km (5960nm), 286 tonne MTOW range 14,316km (7730nm).
777-200LR - Max range 16,417km (8865nm)

The Boeing 777-300

777-300 - Typical cruising speed 893km/h (482kt). Range with 386 three class passengers 10,595km (5720nm).
777-300ER - Range with 365 passengers 13,427km (7,250nm).

Or make it more complete for each type:

Flightcrew of two. Typical passenger accommodation for 386 (30 first, 84 business and 254 economy) to 394 in three class arrangements, 400 to 479 in two class arrangements or up to 550 in an all economy high density configuration. Underfloor capacity for 20 standard LD3 containers or eight 2.55 x 3.17m (96 x 125in) pallets.

I will throw is some differences for the CASA 212 for something a little different. They will be between the 200 and 300.

Vmc 76 kcas for the 212-300
Vmc 85 kcas for the 212-200

Max Airport elevation:
8,000- C-212-200
10,000-C-212-300

Max Runway Slope:
+/- 3% -C-212-200
+/- 2%- C-212-300

Crosswind Speed Limits:
Something interesting is both aircraft have a 20 knot max demonstrated crosswind component. However for the -200 the 20 knots is measured at 50 feet, and on the -300 it is measured at 33 feet.

Those are what I could quickly find in my manual. If I find more I will post them.

Just take a look at a cockpit picture of a Hawker 1A and then a 900XP. Then ask yourself how the heck they're even the same type rating.

Uh no guys, I mean in the sense of performance. I could've easily gone on Boeing's website and copied a tech spec page. For instance, does the 757-300 climb better than the -200, is the 767-400ER more of a slick airplane than the -300, and things of that nature. Thanks

I get to fly the 767-200ER for the first time in a couple weeks; all I've flown is the -300ER and 757-200. I'll write something up if I remember then (might have to remind me).

Ive heard from a few guys that fly the 757-300 say it sucks in climb and they generally hate flying it. Id think the performance would depend on weather conditions and aircraft weight to name a few. What might climb at 2000 FPM one day will poke along at 500 FPM another day.

Got my hands on the 767-200ER last night. Great airplane. Looks goofy, but a real joy to fly. Very similar in handling to the -300ER, but the -200ER has only slightly derated engines (~57,000 lbs/side vs. 60,000), and is 20 feet shorter. On one lightly loaded flight, we saw brake release to FL320 in 8 minutes at ECON climb speeds (on normal company profile). Very impressed.
