Seneca down in south Vero Beach

Good news! You could kinda tell from the photos that things looked like they might be ok.

I hope you or anyone else takes no offense to this but when he is better maybe you could talk him into comming on here and telling us what went right, what went wrong, and what he might have done different. Maybe Doug could lock the thread as soon as it was done to, so we might all learn from a situation like his. I think it would be good for us to just listen.

+1 fo sho

I say leave the poor guy alone, since both people look like they'll make it (thank God) the FAA report (when it arrives) should tell us all we need to know.

I may be way out in left field, but personally if I was in his shoes, after some time to reflect, if some of my peers wanted to hear the story, I would like to think I would share it as a lesson learned for all to share. You never know what minute piece of wisdom might save a life someday, a tidbit someone remembers from a conversation 10 15 20 years ago...of course I would be much more interested in what went right than wrong, because they survived, some things definatly went right....Kudos:clap:

Honestly, after mine I didn't talk about it for a good while. It took a long time to wrap my head around what had happened, and that the outcome as it was, was probably the best that could have been. After that I finally started to break it down, and work to figure out what I could have done to prevent it.

I would not expect either of them to want to talk about it, at least untill the ntsb/FAA are done. After that it might be a while before he is willing to talk about it. I would not pressure him to post about his crash, or even ask him about it untill he has openly volunteered information about it.

Glad they made it out ok!

Glad they're alive, hope they stay that way. As for the speculation, go play flightsim. Your curiosity is the last thing anyone is thinking about, for good reason. It doesn't matter.

We need to modify an old rule.

Any landing they can carry you away from breathing is a good landing.

Oh my god, I can't believe they walked away from that! I wish them all the best, and hopefully the worst is over.

I know the controller that was working, she was pretty shook up last night. The FAA was putting her through the ringer as well. Not that she did anything, its just the way they treat controllers when anything like this happens. Plus, most that I know take it pretty personally, especially when its a familiar voice.

Where can I go to review the actual speculation that you guys keep vaguely referring to? I wasn't interested before, but the way you guys are tip toeing around it - now the desire to gawk is growing.

What the ever happened to respect for relatives and allowing for dignity. Say they don't make it. The TCPalm should be ashamed of themselves for publishing those photos of the occupants

Remember this guy?

Incredible job he did putting that behemoth down without hurting anyone else, even more incredible that he survived it.

Dude, I've seen your videos. They were a big help to me with understanding IFR comm procedures before I got my ticket. Keep up the nice work!

Sorry for the hijack.
