I doubt that would be the last flight, if it goes out, I'm sure it will come back to PDX so all the airplanes will be in more accessible places, and the creditors want the fleet grounded at 6pm according to the article.

Article also said the timing was to allow flights to get back to the main hubs before operations ceased.

Yep. My good friend is the captain on 823, sad day for those that worked hard to try and keep this company afloat

Nuts. I was hoping they would be able to manage a hat trick and survive. I hope everyone there has been putting out the feelers and that they find other positions with decent entities very soon.

Just got off the phone with three very good friends that are all FO's in Memphis. their times range from 550-750. They are freaking out right now because they took the gamble on taking a job at an airline that was in bankruptcy. I feel almost responsible as I referenced them with the best of intentions. They are all trying to throw apps out but we all know with that amount of hours and it all being caravan time they are not that competitive in the market. sub 1000 hours is a hard area to break into without the CFI ticket, which they all lack as they followed my lead out of flight school.

I've always gotten the sense that a season of aerial surveying was pretty easy to pick up.

Sucks for the guys and gals over there. But, I've never seen an operator like them last very long in most places. Seems like everyone who has that kind of operation has been at it a while.

Maybe a good opportunity for Cape to acquire some new airframes for cheap?

Perhaps throw an app at Southern Airways Express there in MEM?

Damn, that is rough. Hope the Portland guys and gals are applying to Boutique. They should have a good shot there. As Hacker suggested above, Southern would be a decent choice in MEM. I'd just be tossing apps out to all the good 135 operators and be willing to re-locate if needed.

What a pile of crap. Really sorry. Sometimes we roll the dice on our way to our ultimate career goal and one never knows with any certainty what may or may not happen down the road. The early stages of one's career can be pretty bumpy. Just be there for your friends, support them and help where you can. It's not your fault. Hopefully, they will be able to land somewhere that's even better. Hang tough.

I thought they partnered up with TAG and were supposed to start flying business jets to Europe this fall......what happened?
