Seaport Airlines hiring 500hr mins

I got a conditional job offer today from seaport.you don't have to have 500tt. I'm way under 500. Just apply with whatever you have . August class isn't filled yet. They are giving us an option on what class we want.
Great the guy I told this opportunity About went out, on his own dime, when's he got there the chief pilot said he didn't want to interview him. I was like say what?????

So they put him through the hr sim and 50 question test and still no interview with the chief pilot. Way to be a professional chief pilot NOEL MCDERMOTT .

Oh and my bud didn't get the job. But others who he met and said they know they failed the sim or the 50 question test.....did.
Is Seaport really this mucked up? I hope Noel doesn't blast me for insubordination oh wait I don't work for them

$40/hr PIC - $20/hr SIC x 70 hour guarantee
Any idea what the average pilot flies per month? $20/hr x70 isn't much. It's a great time building opportunity for a really low-time guy but that's about it it seems.

Personally, I wouldn't be above doing this job until I had enough time to apply a job at Cape Air or another respected 135 company.

I usually flew 100+ a month. Made about 1800-2k/mo with per diem.

Got me where I wanted to be.

The CP, Noel has a good day if he can find his way out of a paper bag. As someone previously stated, Noel is a DB. The company pays poorly and it was always fun to see who would be the first pilot to break down and go to the welfare line. If you need help with something and ask your superiors for help, you are just given a blank look that pretty much just says: "...and you want me to do what?". The company could be great but pilots are not treated well, majorly overworked with poor workplace moral. Promises are made and promises are broken (but I guess that happens in a lot of the aviation world). But it is sad that the company would rather hire and spend thousands of dollars and months training new pilots rather than to give senior, experienced pilots a pay raise. And the company wonders why no one ever really stays around long term. It is sad...they really could be a great place to work.

funny because from the outside thats exactly how i see it. that COULD be a really slick gig.... cruise around the caribbean, have a nice paycheck and be home every night back in the "civilized world". shame that the company doesnt understand how to treat pilots like humans and give them a decent job to stay with. seems typical for aviation though.
