Seaplanes

My wife and I recently spent a few days in Seattle and Victoria, BC. Lots of seaplane ops going on. Here are a few of the shots I grabbed. I have some more (better ones I think) but I am waiting to see if A.net is going to reject those like everything else I send to them.

Kind of a bad registration...

A.net is such an old boys club. Once you have a couple hundred pictures they approve anything you submit. Getting that first one though, is a bitch because they'll always say that your photo "lacks motiv". I gave up a long time ago.

SHOPPED! :)

rframe West Coast Air/Harbor Air operate regularly scheduled flights as well as scenic flights

Great shots BobDDuck! We went out there in 2009 and our hotel was right near Lake Union so we saw plenty of seaplanes. We also loved Victoria and the whole downtown area!

I gave up on a.net and the similar sites a while ago, they just took the fun out of the hobby. Got myself a Flickr Pro account and was a lot happier. It's a little bit harder to get as many views but oh well.

Great Pics! I used to be a photo screener for Jp.net but after two years of it I got burned out because some of the "rules" were a bit assinine/not conducive to good photographic technique. That being said, at least we weren't a.net, which I stopped uploading to entirely and had them delete my pictures after the "terms of use" fiasco in 2008.

Was just at the Flying Beaver on Friday and took some photos. Sadly I only had my iPhone camera so the pics weren't great. Neat operation!!

No doubt. I had some air to air airship shots last summer from the airship race on the Hudson. Even some pictures with the Statue in them, and cropped as such, and they wanted nothing to do with them.

Yessir... My B1 Bone pics got rejected. And the last pictures of SuSu shot were rejected. And the pics of Meagan Varley flying her Tomcat to DM to be retired got rejected... Don't feel badly. We can appreciate a great photo here, and these are great photos! Well done!
