Got mine splashing in Lake Martin, Alabama 9 years ago in a C-152 on edo's. It needed the perfect pitch to come off the step. $1000....Not sure he does it anymore. From there went into to the crummy oil field and got over 500 hours in a 185 straight floats. A challenging kick in the ares and enjoyed the hell out of flying low (500 ft. max all the time). Damn, I miss it!!!

I'm right in the middle of this as I went out to Kenmore last month. 6 hours wasn't quite enough to be checkride ready (for me) And the examiner couldn't reschedule.

I think flying infrequently and the stability of the 172 etc, flying a supercub requires a lot more precision, so I burnt a few hours basically getting that rust off.

In a week or two I am off to Nassau for a careers fair then back via Flagler to fly with Ryan Seaplanes to finish it off.

Alex.
