It's my favorite regional colloquialism: Everywhere in the country has drive through beer barns, with no specific name, except on part of the Virginia/North Carolina coast, which has "Brew Thrus."
Ya know, in the glider community they have a "positive control and assembly check" culture that the various organizations try to keep going. For instance you have to get someone else to check your controls at most meets, with someone putting pressure on both the stick and on the control surface just to make sure it's really connected. Might be something like that would have helped here.
Even with this you still get incorrect assembly killing folks though.
