SD Flight Training

I have been looking into starting my flight training in the San Diego area and I am looking for a little advice or tips. I have visited four schools, they all have relatively equal aircraft fleets, nice briefing and classroom/study areas, and friendly instructors. So my question is, what is the main factor I should base my decision off when choosing? I think I have narrowed it down to two, Pinnacle Aviation Academy and San Diego Flight Training International, does anybody in here have any experience with either of these two? Thanks for your time...
 
One of SDFTI's 172s tried to fly up my ass on the ILS into MYF one night, but that's the only negative I can offer. They have nice new airplanes and their instructors all dreas like airline pilots if that makes a difference to you. My CFI for my private did his CFI with them, he said they were a good operation, if a tad pricey. If you have that kind of cash, why aren't you looking at ATP?

Another friend of mine did his instrument at Pinnacle, I can hook you up with him if you want his feedback, just shoot me a PM.

Whatever you decide, San Diego in general and MYF in particular is a phenomenal training environment. The San Diego Class Bravo airspace is one of the most complex in the country and MYF is a very busy GA airport. You'll get good in a hurry or you'll die, kinda like skiing at Snowbird or Squaw Valley. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buck.gif

I agree! There are so many clubs with reasonable rates in the area you would be doing yourself a favor to join one. My friend who went to SDFT didn't like them very much but since his dad paid for it all he stayed. Go to MYF and check out the clubs. Here is the site if a great CFI there-

I had a good impression of SDFT Int'l. The owner was a Bald Eagle! LOL.....I would not join because of his attitude. I refuse to give him my money.
