Hello everyone,
I am glad to be a part of this excellent website, very informative. I was running errands today and thought of a situation. I figure I would pick your brains to see what you thought.
Scenario: You're an instrument rated pilot working on your commercial rating. You still need the long XC before your checkride. On the day of your scheduled flight the weather is 900 overcast with tops at 2500. The weather is the same at all of your destinations. You file an instrument flight plan, but cancel VFR on top. At all of your destinations you shoot the approach to visual conditions and ask for visual approach at each. Can you count this as your long XC towards your commercial?:dunno:
