Scary Anti-aviation organization!!!

I think it is hilarious that there are people out there that are this ignorant. It saddens me to think that when these people vote, it counts the same as my vote in an election

.

I loved the comment, referring to the FAA:
"After all, the pilots are their friends. Hey, the inspectors are all pilots. They don't want the pesky non-flying public types to be interfering with their god-given right to fly."
You know the good ol' FAA, always trying to help their best friends, the pilots, get around those pesky regulations.

Worst case of rectal cranial inversion that I've seen people have in a long time.

Just ask them one thing. How do they think they can fly to see Aunt Bessie the one time a year they can if no pilots get trained.

I absolutely agree with what you all are saying. In fact, I love this quote, "We believe that such activities force you to subsidize them by giving up your property, your privacy, your peace and your quiet so that a wealthy few may zoom about in their noisy little airplanes." A wealthy few, yup, that sure sounds about right to me. Oh, and if they are so serious about taking this to the FAA and plan to change the regs, how about they take a minute and proofread their work? "When asked why they do not work within the FAA to change the rules so that they can perform there jobs better, we here things like "AOPA would never let us do that".

Better yet...

Find out what their hobbies are, and then start an organization to stop them from participating in them because "they have no value to society".

I just read an article in the Cleveland Free Times here in Cleveland about how these yacht clubs are ticked because the city is thinking of filling them in with dredge from the Cuyahoga River.

The head of one of them stated: “I think it would cost less to pay back the FAA than to buy out and move the yacht clubs,”

I understand his anger. He's risking something that he loves to do, but something that by StopTheNoise's (by the way, have you noticed that since AOPA stepped in the message on their website has softened quite a bit?) definition provides no value to society.

The fact of the matter is that no one's leisure activities have provide any value to society...they're just fun, but isn't that the value though? Isn't giving someone the opportunity to do something fun and relaxing so that when they come to work on Monday they are rested and productive a benefit to society?

Personally I'd much rather be operated on by a doctor who got to blow off steam over the weekend in his 172 or Pitts for that matter than some workaholic who never relaxes.

As I said before, in the end this group will become nothing more than a group of people who get together on Friday night and bitch about pilots...of course if they hate planes so much I think they should boycott the airlines.

Geez wish I had known that before I spent 1000's of $'s in medical tests for my medical certificate. Morons.

[lies]

FAA is an organization of General Aviation pilots tasked with policing, among other things, General Aviation. FAA has become corrupted due to this conflict of interest. We are finding the same pattern of lies and abuse across this nation. We will tell that story here.

Well, I just did some spins over these idiots. I feel a lot better. There was a Pitts out there today too.

And we wonder why people get mad.............

They get mad because they're naive. They live under class B airspace, and class C and D nearby. They may not know those types of things, but they are living in a metropolitan area and should expect air traffic. They're so out of touch with reality, it's not even funny. They claim planes flying at 8000' are at 1000', and then waste their time buying zoom lenses and taking pictures of the planes and sending them to their local government.

The worst part of it is, there's probably one neighbor who got pissed off one day and thought the planes were too loud and no one else really cares. But they're just a bunch of pig-headed drones and agree with the ring-leader neighbor. Pathetic. Two more spin lessons in the next week for me, I'll be back and I hope they like it.

And you're helping resolve the situation.....how?

I understand that you're in an approved area for acro. And I understand that the people that are complaining don't appear to have much of a clue.

Still, you're bragging on a public forum about doing spins over their heads will only do two things, as I see it:
1. Give you some personal satisfaction.
2. Give the opposition some really nice quotes to use when they try to rally support for their cause. "Well, I just did some spins over these idiots. I feel a lot better." and "...they're just a bunch of pig-headed drones..." really helps the aviation community out, doesn't it?

Sometimes it's hard to take the "long view" in these kind of situations. Especially when you are right.

Alright, maybe they're not all pig-headed drones...

. But the point I'm trying to make is no matter how much they try hard to stop airplanes from flying over their houses, it's not going to do anything.
