Scariest flight or moment

I was a post solo student flying dual with my CFI, i was on final and i was almost over the threshhold. Staring at the runway and not looking at my airspeed indicator i was 10 kts below apr. speed, i realized this as i started to sink, i dropped like a rock and hit extremely hard on the pavement. we bounced hard about 6 to 7 feet and hit hard again, the cockpit rattled violently and the aircraft almost ran off the left side of the pavement, finally he took the controls and went around, i was very shaken up. At the time i had about 16 hours. .5solo

My scariest moment was when I had to do a go around due to wind shear. I'm screaming at the airplane, come on, climb, climb, climb and seeing the trees at the end of the runway get closer and closer.

When I did get the plane on the ground safely, it was like I had the world's worst hangover. I was shaking and sweating and felt like I was going to puke.

A few engine burps (always seems to happen over rough terrain)
failed alternator on second dual flight
Partial engine failure on student solo XC due to cracked cylinder
lost comm in imc on first solo in the stuff

(it CAN happen!)
lost comm in vmc with Iain flying

probably the dumbest thing I've done in an airplane:

I switched flight schools during my training from one school where touch and gos were prohibitied to a school where they were allowed. The new instructor said go ahead and do a few solo touch and gos....

What I didn't realize was the fact that you have to retract flaps, stabalize, THEN add power. Well I was teaching myself how to do it; my first one I nosewheeled it down the runway barely maintaining directional control with the rudders... I was like 'what the hell!?' So I did it again; same thing happened... I finally 'figured it out' later on during a discussion with a CFI buddy of mine. I asked him why airplanes act so funny on touch and gos....

Moral of that story is that unelss you understand something and have already revieved instruction (ground counts depending on the complexity of what you want to do)... never do it in a plane!

Military scariest moment; being chased by an Iranian F-14 bound and determined to fire a sidewinder at us. 2nd military scariest moment; flying through supercell T-storms out along the equator.

Civilian passenger scariest moment; landing on Guam in 1979, hit so hard all the baggage overheads slaming open and the FA screaming.....IT'S OK, IT'S OK!!!!!!, she scared the crap out of me.

Me flying scariest moment; forgetting to bring the flaps up on a solo touch and go and having the right wing come up rapidly because of the wind. Thought I was going to flip over.

Why weren't you talking to Dover or Philly? I live over on DE25 by ATR (waterloo). Do you live in Cape May?

I have since realized how important and helpful flight following can be. Was still working out my radio skills at the time and had never used these services before. No, live in Trenton.
