Sarcoidosis

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis last summer. In January 09 I was furloughed and have not flown since. Recently I've started the process of getting my medical back and am awaiting approval from the FAA.

I am mainly concerned with the type of special issuance I can expect and if the possibility of a 1st class even exists. The AME that is handling my situation is very confident I can get a medical, but cant guarantee what class or restrictions I will have.

My recent CT scans and PFT show no abnormalities at all and my prescribed dosage of Predisone is 15mg/day.

As long as the prednisone is below 20 mg daily, you will probably get a Class 1 back.

Thank you for the response. I did receive a First Class medical and surprisingly without much trouble. I cannot begin to describe how happy and excited I am to get back into flying. It has been too long :insane:
