San Diego Employee parking???

I just moved to San Diego and will be commuting to Denver. I've looked up all the parking options open to the public (long-term parking, buses, taxi's) I was just curious if there was an employee parking lot available to me. Any info will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Dave

Yes, the employee lot is available to you if you're a commuting crewmember (just show them your badge). The cost is $60 a month in the employee lot (expensive compared to other major cities, I know). I believe the company who operates the lot is SanPark and they have an employee shuttle that seems to show up at each terminal every 10 minutes to pick you up.

What part of San Diego are you moving to? The public transit system in San Diego is very good, between the trolley and bus. There's an airport bus (Route 992) that runs about every 10-15 minutes from Broadway St in Downtown and all 3 terminals.

If you live nearby where I live maybe we can exchange rides to and from the airport.

Awesome... Thank you for the info, I'll be checking it out asap. I looked up the bus route and it looks ok, unless it's an early show. I live off crown point dr. Right by Sea World. Let me know where you're at cause I am interested in car pooling/beer drinking/surfing...

Awesome! I'm 6 or 8 minutes from Sea World. I'll PM you my number if you need a ride and if I'm here on my days off I'll pick ya up. Plus beer drinking - I go to Toronado, Live Wire, Small Bar, Blind Lady Ale House, Hamilton's, and other various bars with good selections of good quality microbrews. I'll show you around town if you need a tour.

The actual employee lots are on Harbor Island and next to the Commuter terminal. They are not open to crew. Lindbergh Parking Inc. runs those and unless you have a SAN I.D. badge and are on an airline submitted list, you cannot buy a pass.

Sometimes there are people who don't use their parking passes and are willing to sell them to needy crew members....usually for a profit. A sweet hook up. Every time I am on the employee bus I see at least one other pilot or F/A. The employee lot parking pass costs $60 for THREE months, so if you can find one 'for sale' and pay $100-160 you are still saving money (and time as it's closer and you can walk if you like).

The SAN Park deal is just a regular lot that crews can use.
Initial fee is $70 ($10 for a gate card, $60 per month fee.)
They are at 3302 Pac Hwy. 619-543-1145

I figure I'd just tag on to this thread instead of starting my own like I was about to do...

Anybody know about employee parking in SFO? All I've found so far is a daily "discounted" rate of $13 a day which obviously doesn't really work for a commuter.

Thanks for clarifying - that's what I recall now after I looked into it 3 years ago. $60 for three months is pretty affordable.
