San Diego Area

I got hired there but left quickly to find something with a little less of a commute. They seemed alright, I wouldn't count on the 135 op though. It was pretty much defunct (last year) since they weren't getting any charter customers, and they owner was talking about scrapping it all together. I think the ownership changed too, used to be owned by a Navy pilot but I think he sold control over to a partner from India..at least that was the plan. Whether or not that has happened I don't know. You can try Pinnacle Aviation Academy on the field. They are a good school with good maintenance and good fairly new aircraft (172 R/SP's) and a 2000 piper Seminole for multi training. they also have 2 182's and a handful of 150's. I worked for them up until I left San Diego and they were by far the best I came across. You can give them a shot but they usually have a stack of resume's waiting around.

You can also try getting checked out at Pacific Coast Flyers and self advertise for students. That usually works well in that area too. Lot's of people will take an intro flight up the coast and get hooked :) Hope this helps
