Salutations de Paris!

I'll go! I know some French! Just enough to get us in some trouble (the good kind)

Seriously, let's do this. But you're going to have to bring a date (or do "local sourcing") because I still owe Kristie a picnic at the Champs de Mars.

I am game for coming back here any time. This city is awesome. I told one of my colleagues who lives in the suburbs of Paris that everything they said is true, and it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. He said, well, if you ask a Frenchman, he will tell you it is THE MOST beautiful city in the world.

Know what? It's hard to argue with him. This place is gorgeous!

And to bring the topic of conversation back to airplanes, I've got a sweet shot of the Emrbraer 195, with both the Embraer livery and FlyBE livery. I've also got a nice shot of the A380 and I've got one of the Falcon 7X.

Count me in. I am not going to make it to the Tour de France this year so I need to get over there at some point.

ooooohhh, i can see it now *rubbing hands together*...nothing like hosting "Dougfest in Paris 2005"

ya'll can go up to Moulin Rouge by yourselves!

I'm going crepe shopping!

Moi aussie! I'd jump at any opportunity to be in Paris again. Even if I have to be Matt's date (no offense, Matt).

We should really plan this! I'll find a nice little french girl.

Wouldn't be too hard. This town is full of hot women. I've been talking to a couple of the women who are in the booth next to mine. I said to them that this city is full of beautiful women and they said, yes, it is, but there are "not so many beautiful men."

Gotta like those comments, eh?

I dunno, I love Europe but I like American women. I have just never been that impressed over there.

So when are we all going?

I was going to go back in early July, but I'm probably going to Hawaii now instead. Unless of course a few people want to go to Paris.

I'm thinking september would be a good month - it will be a little cooler & loads should be lower!

I really want to go back up to ANC in July..Berlin & Moscow are now also part of the DAL chain, so we want to get there too this year! AND on top of that, we'll be going to Michigan in early august to try that family reunion thing again (heads up MI peeps) - these would all be long weekend trips for us though since i still have to work during the week!
banghead.gif
(but hey, it keeps the money rolling in

)

AND, if that wasn't enuff traveling for you...

if any of you are interested - doug, myself and a coworker of mine are going to Greece for an entire week in October (early October).. we plan on renting a villa on one of the islands. the more people we get to come with, the nicer the villa we can get!

let us know if you want to join us on one of the trips or just travel with me/minus one doug cuz i'll travel ANYTIME/anywhere (on the weekends)!

Greece would be a blast, but I don't think I can swing that one this year. I'll get back to y'all on Paris once I'm off IOE and have a schedule. But believe me, if there's any way to do it, I will.

I'm thinking springtime. Probably not as crowded and I do have to take some people up on their offers to play tour guide!

BTW, French women do shave their legs. It's hot out today, and some of them were wearing skirts.

And to bring this back to aviation, mpenguin saw some of the pictures I got of among other things, the A380. I'll put some of those up on the web when I get a chance to download them after I'm back in the US.

On the "no deoderant/no shaving legs" thing, that's urban legend I think.

Hell, even Germany's got loads of hotties with shaved legs.

Our citizens need to get out more often.

I have been out of country and have had dealings with people with all sorts of foreign countries.

Saying that, many girls shave their legs, it is under the pits, that sometimes their growth, not much, but I have seen it. When I was Italy, I saw this really attractive gal with more hair under her arms than mine. I would not say that was the norm.

The no deordant thing, that is not an urban legend. Some French men do not shower everyday and/or do not wear deodorant, they will sprinkle some colgne/perfume on in the morning, but it does not last.

Some British & Irish men do not brush their teeth, those that have international contacts do, your common workers, do not.

We have had pilots from Russian airlines & you do not get to close to them, & if it on a hot day, I feel sorry for the instructors.

Some pilots from Korean Airlines, Kimchee/garlic smell & do not get to close to their mouths.

Saying all of that, the Europeans think that we Americans are to concerned with how we smell.

Being over in Europe, I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke, can not stand it, so going to bars/pubs, places to eat, diners, is a major pain. On the flip sides, the locals have no problem with it, well, I am the guest in the country & learn to adjust or do not go.

Yes, but in America we have Brittney Spears, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Michael Jackson, Nick and Jessica, shall I go on?

I think I'd take my chances having a brew in a smoky pub with an attractive, young, smart French girl who needs a lesson in razor-under-de-arms than a night of primetime USA TV!

Tony, will try to get my photos uploaded, onto to the computer and share with the boys. I got some photos of the interior of some Corporate Jets & the 777-200LR, of course, I snapped some of the A380.

If not, will have to wait till I get back, I still have another week in London.
