Position Description


The primary job responsibility for this candidate, who will be based in Beijing, China, is to provide flight operations training and technical services as well as to support PBN and other technology implementation and training for purpose of improving flight safety and efficiency for airline customers and regulatory agencies (Airlines in China and CAAC as priority).

General:
Provides flight operations, safety and technical support to airline customers in multiple aircraft types and models. Job requires FAA ATP or commercial license with equivalent appropriate endorsements and Class I Medical. Maintains qualification as a Boeing instructor pilot on two airplane models. Provides information, training and technical services to customer flight crews to enhance flight operations efficiency and safety. Represents Boeing at conferences and forums related to safety and flight operations. Interfaces with regional and international safety organizations regarding programs and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. Supports sales campaigns by demonstrating airplanes and new flight technology. Supports entry into service of new aircraft types. Supports the propagation and implementation of advanced technologies and capabilities. Consults with cross functional teams during aircraft accident investigations.

Specific:
Performs Airline Visitation Programs as requested by customers to evaluate operational safety, efficiency and procedural standardization. Assists Boeing Flight Safety in accomplishing Flight Operational Support Program visits in the region. Provides general ground training in support of customer aircrew (i.e. CRM, cold weather operations, performance, landing technique, etc). Observes customer simulator training to enhance the quality and standardization of air carrier crews and instructors with the objective of conforming to international standards. Researches and coordinates publication of operator specific procedures and techniques to help with conformity to Boeing standards. Supports Boeing Commercial Airplanes programs and offerings and acts as consultant on implementation requirements and planning for PBN, HUD, ADS-B and other technologies. Proactively engage in activities to support 787 EIS.

Typical Education/Experience


Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

The candidates require to have deep knowledge on Boeing new airplane models (787 and 747-8). Subject Matter Expert on technologies (e.g. EFVS, PBN, etc). Strong leadership with experience of mentoring and coaching.

This position is an expat (expatriate) assignment. The candidate must be willing to relocate and work in China for an extended period of time.
