Safety Board: Pilot suicide cause of January airplane crash near Denver

I've had some spectacular sex with some spectacular women...and none of it or them were worth my life, by a long shot.
More to it than sex. A lot more. The kind of thing @killbilly is talking about is absolutely horrible, I'd argue one of the worst things someone can experience. Combine that with somebody who (in my opinion) probably already has an underlying mental issue and that's probably going to be the end result unfortunately. It's tragic.

Definitely supports the argument about there needing to be better mental health resources in this country, or just in general.

Maybe this was his wife?

And eh, a little too "rotisserie chicken" look for my taste :P

Yeah...sure.
Heh, I can honestly say that I wouldn't. Not everyone's cup of tea.
I had a 2 word reply typed up but I think half of it wouldn't have made it past the profanity filter and Derg would have probably kicked me out of his living room.

In short, take that garbage somewhere else.
Calm down there. It's no secret that's how he wants to live his life, don't get worked up over it. I agree with him on the aspect it's not worth killing yourself over in the grand scheme of things. Been there with the whole just about engaged in a 5 year relationship to have her end up with your "best friend", yes it sucks, but, I have a lot more trouble understanding why someone would end it all over stuff like that as opposed to recurring mental health episodes which are a whole other ordeal.

Regardless, while this kind of stuff is nothing new, always terrible when someone doesn't see another way out.

National Transportation Safety Board: Pilot suicide cause of January airplane crash near Denver • Piper PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV, N82828

A pilot who died when his single-engine plane crashed near Brighton intentionally flew into the ground to commit suicide, a National Transportation Safety Board report released earlier this month says.
Investigators learned that 41-year-old Wade Howard Tefft's wife had told him she wanted a divorce and was buying another home.
"About five years earlier, (Tefft) had told her that if she ever left him he would fly his airplane into the ground and kill himself," the report said.
Tefft was killed in the Jan. 11 crash of a Piper PA-28RT-201T Turbo Arrow IV northeast of Denver International Airport and north of Front Range Airport. He was the only one aboard when the aircraft went down in a wheat field.

You really have to wonder how many pilot suicides happens each year?

The FAA did a report in 2013 and here it is. In the period from 2003-2012 there were eight (8) accidents attributed to suicide.
