Safest seat on a plane?

The safest seat on an airplane is any seat where I have control of the aircraft.

You may ask how that could be true when it defies the statistics, but the fact of the matter is that I'm God's gift to aviation.

Safest seat for me is the one FURTHEST from John. How many times have we almost died when we were flying together?

More than I care to count, and it always seemed to be mid air's too. And not even mid air's in places where you'd expect to hit other planes! We'd manage to find airplanes in cruise on a fairly regular basis.

It's a good thing I never went to 9E.

Sorry, I couldn't find a picture of the actual pod scene...

Heh, I was thinking the same thing. :) "Dude, that guy was wearing David Clarks and Ray Bans. He was most definitely NOT at an IFR cruising altitude....."

Copy cat.

:)

How's the wife?
'sall good here...we are going for a very (forcast) wet camper trip to the north Cali coast today...

( I didn't see your post until later) when I saw the titel I had that response pop straight in my head, as I'm sure most pilots do )

Have fun with that. It's not raining in Marin yet, but it sure looks like it is going to soon and it is windy as hell.

(but no... really, have fun :) )

i was always under the impression that the middle, where the wings attach was the strongest part of the plane, so that would off the best crash survivability.

I always sit in the back though flying commercial. Its a lot easier to find a seat with no one next to me.

I usually non-rev, so I don't get much of a choice. We're always sent to the very back with the rest of steerage. :laff:

Doesn't it depend if Chuck Norris is on the plane? I would postulate that trying to sit in Chuck Norris' seat would be the most dangerous...
