I think someone recently posted a job in the Ft. Lauderdale area at Gold Aviation at FLL. Give them try.

i still have undying love for the Lone Star State, but yeah I need a change of scenery from Austin for a while... kinda burned out on that town. My horizons are ever expanding! :-D

I can understand that.... Austin ain't been part of Texas for a while now.:D

Thanks for the tip! I'll see what I can dig up.

I applied to Tropic Air at FXE also... saw them flying the Islanders... reasonable requirements too.

Oh pish posh. Austin is the only Texas I would want to live in anyway!!

Austinite!

Yo, TXAviator! I live in Austin too. Trying to get in the loop here on JC. I've finally been posting lately after just reading threads for awhile. What'da do in Austin? PM me instead if you'd like.

Have you tried the 135 operators in the Puget Sound area. Beautiful flying! I worked there for 4 years doing charter and CFIing in the San Juan Islands. I still have connections.

Lemme know...

Hey there! I havent looked to the NW yet, though I think it would be a pretty cool area to live as well.... Ill be damn close to 135 mins (talking within a dozen hours or so) when I finish my current gig in May.... would love to run cargo or charter up there if theres something available.

In Austin, well I went to UT for a while, have DJ'ed off and on at the Yellow Rose and generally partied my face off. Coming back for SXSW next week ;-)

You gonna be around? Going to any shows?

Drop me a PM if you got the inside line on some stuff in the Pac NW or wanna meet up during SXSW!!

Right now in the Miami area there are few picking up pilots to help in Haiti, it's a temporary gig, but is a good way to know the right peoples.

you can away volunteer to spot Cubans trying to find freedom (I actually love Cuba) and steal US jobs...; )

As swiss said above me. There are a few people looking for pilots down here to help with Haiti, some of it might be volunteer work though.

As for normal outfits nothing really in the 1000 hours range. American Eagle has a junior base down here and they are hiring but the bare minimum youll need is 1500 hours to even be considered IMO.

Other than that Ive heard rumors that Miami Air may be hiring soon but they will want more than 1000 hours and possibly a 737 type.

Bimini Island Air was looking for Saab FO's awhile back not sure if they are still hiring, based in FLL. Not sure what the mins are though.

Thats all I can think of right now, will let ya know if I hear anything.
