Ryanair buys 175 B737's

Kind of resembles the interior of a city bus.

How is this relevant to U.S. pilots? To be considered, you must have the right to work in the E.U. which isn't exactly easy to get.

Anyone know what 1st year FO pay at Ryan?
Pay is by sector, no minimum guarantee. Some FOs I know have complained about very few hours during the winter. Many Ryanair FOs I know have said that they are overstaffed, meaning even less hours. All new pilots are contractors, and everyone has to setup their own LLC in order to get paid. The first 2 or three years of pay is mostly tax-free since these guys are paying back the professional development loan that they got for their type rating.

Basically everything mentioned about the horrible pilot conditions in the BALPA video is about Ryanair. But these conditions aren't just limited to Ryanair, they can be found in several lowcost airlines across Europe and it is spreading.

The European job market for pilots is pretty sad... It is all about time on type here, and there is very little general aviation... Lots of guys view Ryanair as just a stepping stone to move on, because for most guys it is the only chance to get a foot in the door here.

Reminds me of what I heard at a Strip Club.... I'm only doing this to pay for tuition. ;)

Sad thing is a lot of simularity between being a stripper and a pilot at a place like RyanAir! Well that really applies to a lot more companies. A lot of people do not know but strippers have to pay to work at the club unless you are a big time dancer. P2P to get naked is way over rated IMO :D
