Got a coworker going overseas next year and he's wondering if you can purchase "day of" flights on Ryan Air...he heard that they might be less expensive than getting tickets ahead of time? any truth to that?

Nope!! You can buy a ticket at least 2 weeks ahead of time for about $30 (one way, Dublin to London when I did it). Try to buy it on the day (like my brother did) and you get charged $300+ !
