Rush Limbaughs Gulfstream EIB 1

A lot of people in that picture employed thanks to this big expenditure. Private companies throw advertising budgets at Rush, he buys a crapload of products and services. Looks like a win to me.

I am just a little curious how many people have jobs under the umbrella of the EIB network and all the syndicated stations....probably a few I would speculate.

Dude...can you not be an ass for just maybe one day?

Listen, Ace. Comments like "can't she fly Southwest" are so idiotic that they demand a response. You may not like the fact that Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the House, but the point is she's #3 in the succession list. As such, she commands a level of security appropriate to her position.

Doesn't matter if the Speaker is Ms. Pelosi, Newt Gingrich or Tip O'Neill. They all require appropriate security, regardless of YOU'RE view of their politics.

It just so happened that I was in the VIP transportation business when the Republicans were in control. Did I like their politics? No. Did I protect them like they were entitled to based on their position in the government? Yes.

If that makes me an ass, so be it. But, who is really the donkey? Someone who KNOWS how the system works or someone who tosses off "Let her take Southwest" because they don't agree with her politics?

I would think someone who serves this country in uniform would know better.

wow everyone is so serious. I thought the whole Southwest thing had a funny satire ring to it. You know like the onion newspaper. :panic:

You never know. I've heard people seriously suggest disbanding the VIP squadrons, both Air Force and Navy. nelly may have been clowning around, but there are those who really believe this kind of drivel.

Egalitarianism is great, but security considerations are often overlooked.

I never made any comments about the airlift of any VIP on this thread or any other. Do I agree with the politics of MOST of people in office right now? No. But I have NEVER said anything about anyone in regards to white top transportation. I was making a general comment about how you really come off as an arrogant ass a majority of the time here on JC. I know that the internets make discussions a bit more difficult, but for goodness sakes, you can tone it down a bit? There are so many people here that are trying to learn and you undoubtedly have a lot of info and knowledge to share, but your method of message conveyance is not very condusive to learning.

I enjoy JC most of the time, and think most of the people here are great, but your condescending attitude is off the hook and usually unwarranted. I promised myself that I wouldn't lower myself to this, but when you make assumptions about things I DID NOT SAY, I will not stand by quietly. I apologize to those that expect more from me, so this is all I will say about it.

In closing, I will quote something that is very fitting on the internets and I think we can all (myself included) use a kind reminder:

"Courtesy. Be polite, please! The first rule to writing is to be polite. Forego anger, criticism, and sarcasm--strive to be reasonable and persuasive."

Ethics, integrity, character, morals, intellectual honesty, etc. These are more important than principle, protocol, ideology, commitment, sincerity, etc.

There will come a day when everyone will have to stand and give an account for the life they have lived and be rewarded [one way or the other] for the things they've done or failed to do in this life. The rewards will either be positive or they will be negative, but know this; the rewards are coming.

After having said that, it really is a sweet jet!

Here's an idea, IFE. Use the ignore feature if you don't like my posts. I guarantee you I get more accolades than critiques.

Having flown the Secretary of the Navy's DC-9 for three years, I think you have no clue about the security ramifications of flying the #3 person in the U.S. government, nelly.
You're right. That is exactly what we have been told. They couldn't land at a secure location to refuel and we all know they wouldn’t lie to us.

Now we just need to figure out what secure location we should move the B-2s to since Whiteman AFB is no longer a secure site.

I didn’t know that he flies on an alternative fuel plane. I hear the jet is powered by an equal mix of ego and oxycodon.
