Rumors of Eagle Hiring

Can you tell me how your QOL has gone down?

I am a commuter and was two from the bottom in ORD for 3 months before my furlough, and will be two from the bottom when I get back to ORD. Life was not great but it was also not all that bad.

With the parking of the Saab, several of the -135s, and reductions in flying in LA, many of us have seen displacements, watered down lines, reduced seniority in base, or, as you have, furlough.

It's been a luke-warm ride at best for many of us over the past year or so.

On the other hand, we're getting new planes now, and we've recalled and we're hiring.

... and in the near future, we might even have movement at the top of the list. That's still a 'big maybe', but it's in the works. SOME of those guys will still want to flow, after all.

I think RPM should look on the bright side, but hey, if he goes and is happier elsewhere, more power to him.

(Besides, he's SENIOR to US! ;))

Any idea of what the min might be? The website doesn't list the old 1000tt and 100multi anymore (prob waiting on the new law to pass). Currently im at 1600tt and 300multi, and really want to live in dallas.
I would defiantly appreciate any info from people at eagle. Thx

I believe the mins to apply is 1000/100, but competitive pilots that are getting as far as the simulator check are rumored to have around 1500/500.

Prior 121 types seem to be getting slight preference.

Drop your application.

Minimums are 1000/200. Hours in the interviews are ranging from bare minimums to over 5000 TT. They want people with clean histories (i.e. no failed check rides, good driving records.....etc) good luck.

How do you know that? So, people with failed checkrides and speeding tickets have no chance then?

If two people with the exact same qualifications head into an interview but one had some flaws, which one is the HR person going to pick?

It's just the state of the industry as of today. As for no chance send your stuff in and kick ass in the interview, that's all you can do.

Oh, I know. Trust me! I was just curious where he got than info...

I don't trust guys with an immaculate record. Just look at what happened Colin Sullivan from The Departed... he was a crazy rat!

*I tend to make a lot of movie references in my every day life...

I'm still slowly trying to get an airlineapps completed, but it's a B!... Hopefully I end up having a chance... currently sitting at ~2800/300

I know two people that are getting calls for an interview and both have a bust. So I would say your info is bad.

Yes, Airline Apps sucks big time! And soon you got to pay $60 for it too. Hell, for $60 they should be inputting all my info. What a ripoff!

I have a couple busts and got a call to interview. Gonna have explain it and be honest and show that I learned from it and not blame anyone but myself. Hopefully I can kick ass on the rest!

And I heard first class start Feb. 15th for ATR's. Jets don't start until April. But who knows if that info is accurate.

I dont know how accurate it is...but I know that CFI4LIFE had an interview last week and got through (he was a poolie)

so i know it hold some truth

Sorry to go to an extreme in my previous post. I was using no failed checkrides and a clean driving record as an example....I doubt people with a speeding ticket or a bust would be overlooked. (i have 2 speeding tickets on my record and got through) From what I have heard from people at Eagle is that those who were in the pool are given preference (assuming they have the mins and are current of course) and everyone after that better look pretty good on paper. Once you meet the mins everything else about you will be looked at very closely. GOOD LUCK!!!!

I'm just wondering about the logbooks and the flight times grid they have fill out for interview. Just like on airlineapps.com they want you to put in student time separate from PIC time. However in my logbook, when I was a student, I also logged PIC (when I was rated in the aircraft). Just wondering if they'll be ok with my PIC time on the form I fill not equalling my PIC time in my logbook.

I didn't log all of my student time as PIC. Mainly when I was getting my MEI, I had to log 15 PIC in the make and model just to get the MEI in the first place. Plus a few other select flights here and there.

Hey guys I'm currently working for Eagle but not on the flying end. I heard American is going to get rid of a bunch of pilots 100 or so. Doesn't that mean they would be going to eagle?

Just thought I'd let everyone know.

No - it doesn't mean they are GOING to eagle. They can apply however....

Absolutely not. You're probably referring to the previously expired Flowback/Flowthrough agreement.

We have piles of arbitration on that. It's a mess.
