Does anyone know of a good website that shows current airline routes by aircraft?

I doubt if it's very reliable because it changes fairly often.

I need to find the destinations for the Varig 747. Do they still fly it?

I asked him that yesterday but he got pissed.

Do I need to put it in my signature? From 12:15-1:45 I'm in Web Design. Aren't you guys supposed to be working either?

Doug. He's in his web design class and has all his work done...duh.

Brian. Do a search under Varig and see if you can answer your own question. I think I could answer it for you with a simple google search, but....I'm not the one with the question....

I'd encourage you to try to answer your own questions.

I tried using nonrevcentral and Varig's website but I can only find long hauls flown in the MD-11. I'll be going to Brazil for 2 weeks in February and I would like to fly in a 747, as I never had flown in one before. I know the 747 does/did go to MIA from GRU. However, I need to know the current 747 schedule.

Eek! So hard keeping up with everyone's personal 'sacred cow'. Pardon moi!

I was supposed to be flying from GDL to LAX and back right now, but I got displaced for IOE training (the Capt does training with new students).

I changed my bid to fly with a check airman on the GDL trip. The downside was I would have to work the week between Xmas and New Years. The upside was I might get displaced for IOE.

A week ago, I get an email from the Capt saying he has a student but that crew scheduling won't call me until the day before the trip to tell me I'm displaced. Saturday, they finally call me (I wouldn't normally answer my phone but I knew it was good news) and tell me I don't have to go to work this week. Of course, I still get paid. Now I'm off until the day after Xmas (unless I get displaced again...hehe).

The downside is I'll forget which buttons to push on the 757 if I keep getting displaced and I was looking forward to going somewhere warm for work since the high today is going to in the 30's in Spokane.

The upside is I can keep drinking too much coffee and posting at jetcareers....whheeeeeeee

Well, unless you can swing a connection in London, Frankfurt, Johannesburg, or Tokyo, your chances look slim. There were a few shots of an Aerolineas Argentinas 747 in GRU on airliners.net, so maybe a slim chance of being able to connect in Buenos Aires and get the 747 on the right day (but doubtful).

You can fly through Bolivia on Lloyd Aereo Bolivia and connect to a 727 into GRU. If you can't have a 747, a 727 is the next best thing, right?

Wow, talk about wasting time and not doing any real work. I wonder how much per year jetcareers costs our economy in lost production??

So are you still training in the 757? If so, how much longer do you have. Is the reason you're getting displaced because you need to fly with certain captains for IOE?

Sorry for all the questions.

[/ QUOTE ]I believe he was displaced because the captain is giving IOE to another FO who requires it. As an FO, if you're qualified and paired with an IOE captain, you're subject to being displaced if the company has somebody who needs IOE.

Don, if I'm wrong by all means correct me ...
