Arrogant? Sure! I'm English, we're used to being right.

I don't know much about airline pilots, but I'd say (again, an opinion based on experience, which in this case is far less comprehensive) that English airline pilots are a lot more whiney than their US counterparts.

I'm gonna jump in and venture to say that American dentists are better than their UK counterparts

I have to agree about the NHS ambulances - from what I have seen from the volunteer EMS posse up here in NY, I think you would be better of trying to walk to the hospital than them try and kill you on the way!

Taxi. Will arrive quicker, drive faster and be a heck of a lot cheaper. Depending on the driver, he might have a plaster too....
