I agree Rome is an amazing city. I went following my high school graduation. I had to take two years of Latin there and it was so cool to see everything I had been reading about in person. I hope to make it back soon!

Awesome pictures...gotta love the Mediterranean...I am from Greece and everytime I go back, I am always in awe how in the middle of Athens (a HUGE and bustling city) is the Acropolis...still standing after thousands of years...it is a concept.

BTW...you make it on a trip over to ATH yet, I have loads of suggestions if you do

That is another example of history smack damn in the middle of a city, but at least to get to the Colosseum you don't have to climb that damn hill!

Hopefully the next time we make it over to Athens they will have finished the renovations to the Acropolis. Marble pillars and metal scaffolding don't make for good photos!

As far as I know, the restoration project of the Parthenon at least is on going....I have a friend who works over there in the Ministry of Archaeology or something like that....Ministry of Magic...anyways, she said the city is soo polluted, they have to constantly keep cleaning the marble and limestone.

isn't that comair's 25th anniversary plane?

It is and its ugly, along with "bubbles" and "wonder woman".

The only good special schemes are "skyline" and "hands", that was until they for some reason took the logo off on the right side of the airplane.

Skyline came in just before I left and was looking quite, shall we say 'well used'. Do you know if they are going to redo it in the new scheme or let it disappear like the rest of the special ones?
