Was that an attempt to be kinda like Bob Hoover?
I don't understand the purpose of that, was he trying to demonstrate the resultant vectors in a coordinated turn is still to the bottom of the cockpit?

An aileron roll is a low positive G maneuver that, if done properly, can be done in any aircraft. Since it is all positive G, pouring a drink is easy! This is different from a slow roll, where the wings have a negative angle of attack for part of the roll and you are hanging by the straps. The soda, not having straps, would get a bit messy.
It's also a good idea not to have unsecured objects, such as a soda can, out and about when performing such maneuvers. They could slip out of their position and jam a control - best to give Murphy the benefit of the doubt.

This might be Bob Hoover-esque, but it's no Bob Hoover. The really impressive thing about Hoover's video was that *he* was the one pouring the drink.
It takes a lot more skill to fly a roll and pour a drink at the same time than it does to fly a roll and have your copilot pour a drink.

Yeah, Bob Hoover is the "poo". If I'm not mistaken, he sets the glass on the dash and pours the ice tea while hand flying the roll. That is some coordination. My favorite Bob Hoover quote is "I don't feel like I posess any skill that any other pilot doesn't have."

Yep, that doesn't top the incredible Bob Hoover.
This video has been posted before, but it shows Bob doing all by himself what it took both of those guys to do (I still give credit to them for doing it, but Bob is the original gangsta).

When I watch the video it doesn't look like they even get around. To me it just looks like he is holding a constant turn.
