You can't drop something like that and leave us hanging....elaboration is the key.

well alot of corporate folks have to fly there. wal-mart has about twenty learjets, a challenger, and a global express. the challenger is for europe via iceland and the global express is for asia non stop. they even have their fbo, had a tower and a customs office for a very small airport. the customs office is so the global express doesn't have to land at springfield, mo.

lots of interesting people and aircraft come into rogers. i have helped: campbells soup, heinz (N57HZ), nascar people, jeffery katzenberg (dreamworks), emeril lagasse, rudy giulliani, and mel gibson. sitting in the right seat of gibson's GV was a highlight. NW Arkansas is an extreme growth area right behind vegas statistically. have a look at the flights from XNA sometime. LGA, LAX, and all the hubs.

Nope never been in there....although one of my friends worked for Walmart's flight department a while back.

all the pilots say they like working there because the vast majority of the flights end in ROG around 6pm.

however, the competition for challenger and global express slots are competitive.

I have done a turn through there with SkyWest. I think we brought the 70 in there that day, I can't remember which bird we were flying. Don't remember much about XNA though. They all start to run together after awhile!

We fly into their a lot. Northwest Arkansas regional fayatteville/bentonville airport. that place has too many names. (its got almost as many names as KCWA) My capt. made me do all the PA's going down there because he wasnt sure what to call it. ha.

ha! Same here. I don't remember what I ended up calling it! I don't think the pax would be happy with BFE though! :)

most locals just call it xna. it is even marketed as xna, but i am sure you can't say that over the pa. fayetteville is actually 30 miles away. i would say rogers/bentonville over the pa. you are carrying a bunch of business people who either work for wal-mart or selling to wal-mart. tyson foods is also there, but they don't require the traffic that wal-mart obviously does. they also have a cozy relationship with american eagle.

rogers has a population of about 60k, bentonville is 30k, fayettevill is 60k. these towns have tripled in the past ten years and continue to grow, but that explains why there is so much air service.

you are right about bfe. the field is about 20 minutes away from any town.

Do you still live in Rogers?

This thread resurrection is brought to you by extreme boredom, Drury Inns, and nothing on TV. :)

I met a wally world pilot a couple years back. He said it was the best job he has ever had. Pay and treatment was worth staying around. When I met him he said that he worked for Wal-mart. So I asked if he was a greeter or a cashier. He got pissed fast then explained to me what he really does.
