Retardant Delivery

Nice Love to hear the roar of T-56s! Even though they have cost me some of my range of hearing...
So were you flying one of these drops or just some of your guys?

Anybody know how one goes about getting a job doing this?

Yeah about a billion hours of experience.

I was looking at one of the job postings when I worked at the college and they wanted minimum of 50,000 hours

Holy crap!! 48,000 hours to go! Of course by then I won't give a crap probably. Hell at the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to get to 15,000 by retirement!

PM me I'll give you the details on hiring. Problem is that the industry has an incredibly slow turnover, most captains have been with the industry for 25-30 years, and there are only 3 companies that fly heavy federal air tankers. Time from FO to Captain is at a minimum 10 years.
